Shuangtong Daily Necessities Co., Ltd.Y.W., founded in 1994, SOTON is a limited liability company specialized in the development, production, and distribution of plastic drinking straws, located in Beiyuan Industrial Zone, Yiwu, China, has a total investment of USD 40 million. Soon has 40,000 m2 of full-closed clean GMP standard workshops and 200 sets of production lines with an annual output of 12,000 tons. The export volume occupies over 20% of China's total straw capacity, ranked first for more than ten years. Soton is presently professional drinking straw manufacturer globally and the drafting unit for China National Standard of "Polypropylene Drinking Straw."

1994

In 1994, two private houses were rented and the family workshop started.
1996

In 1996, the company's predecessor "Chouzhou Plastic Straw, Yiwu" was established.
1998

In 1998, Soton began to establish a standardized corporate organization structure and acquired more than ten factories. The scale of the company expanded dramatically.
1999

In 1999, E-commerce was promoted globally, and foreign trade products were exported.

In 2000, Soton's foreign export business increased significantly.
2002

In 2002, after 5 years of development, the company built its third-generation factory.

In 2003, Soton issued the "Job Assessment Outline" and Sanitary Management System. The corporate management was further standardized and improved.

In 2008, Soton completed the drafting of the Polypropylene Drinking Straws national standard.

In 2011, the second five-year development plan of Soton was released.
2012

In 2012, the drafting and preparation of Jinhua's 1st ISO International Standard submitted by Soton were approved by 124 member states in the Swiss ISO Standards Committee.
2014

In 2014, Soton was recognized as Zhejiang Export Brand by Commerce Department of Zhejiang Province.
2015

In 2015, the 1st batch of more than a dozen innovative straws was developed by Soton.
2016

In 2016, the compilation and drafting work of the ISO Specification for Polypropylene Drinking Straw, which takes 10 years, was completed and released to the world.
2018

In 2018, Soton obtained another 20 acres of industrial production land and implemented the second-phase production project expansion plan.
2019

In 2019, the second phase of the intelligent production plant began construction.
2020

In 2020, the second phase of the plant was officially put into use and won the title of National Green Factory.
